Eric Morgan has served as an arbitrator in multiple ad hoc and institutional arbitrations (domestic and international) and as a mediator. His areas of expertise include commercial and business disputes including contract claims, shareholder and partnership disputes, oppression claims, breach of trusts claims, professional negligence, and directors and officers liability. He is a member of Arbitration Place’s NextGen Roster, as well as ADRIC and VanIAC’s rosters. He maintains a counsel practice as a founding partner of Kushneryk Morgan LLP, a boutique firm specializing in governance advice and dispute resolution, investigations and securities. He is recognized by Lexpert, Benchmark Litigation and Best Lawyers, and was named one of two Canadians as a Global Elite Thought Leader – Under 45 in Arbitration by Lexology/Who’s Who Legal.

Joanne Luu is a partner at Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP in Calgary. She has over a decade of experience in involving disputes in Canada and abroad. She specializes in complex and high stakes disputes, including commercial, corporate and shareholder, energy and natural resources, and joint venture matters. Often consulting with her corporate solicitor-counterparts on emergent issues and plans of arrangement, Joanne also has a strong business sense.

Joanne has particular expertise in commercial arbitration. Among other things, she has been admitted as a Fellow to the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and serves on the Board of the Vancouver International Arbitration Centre. She has also co-authored book chapters in The Leading Practitioners’ Guide to International Oil & Gas Arbitration and Arbitration World. Joanne is a recognized as a leader in her field for both her arbitration and commercial litigation work, having been named in Who’s Who Legal (Global Guide and Canada), the Legal 500, the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, Benchmark Litigation, and Best Lawyers in Canada. Joanne has appeared in arbitration hearings and court proceedings at all levels, including at trial and before the Supreme Court of Canada. She serves as both counsel and arbitrator. Prior to being admitted to the bar, Joanne clerked at the Alberta Court of Appeal.

Douglas Harrison is an independent commercial arbitrator and mediator with Arbitration Place in Toronto, and a former partner with Stikeman Elliott LLP.

He has been a presiding arbitrator, co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator in numerous ad hoc arbitrations as well as in arbitrations under the rules of the AAA, ADRIC, Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, ICC, ICDR Canada, and the National Automobile Dealership Arbitration Program. His recent arbitration appointments have involved both domestic and international disputes arising from supply agreements, license agreements, distributorships, franchises, shareholder agreements, consulting agreements, construction contracts, cyber insurance and commercial tenancies. They have covered a range of sectors, including automotive, consumer products, energy, financial services, food, heavy manufacturing, insurance, land development, pharmaceuticals and public infrastructure.

Mr. Harrison is the chair of the Toronto Commercial Arbitration Society and the Director of the TCAS Gold Standard Course on Commercial Arbitration. He is also a Co-Chair of the University Tribunal of the University of Toronto.

Mr. Harrison is listed in Chambers (Most in Demand Arbitrators – Canada – Band 3), Lexology/ Who’s Who Legal (Global and Canada) for Arbitration (Recommended), the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for Commercial Arbitration (Consistently Recommended), Lexpert’s Leading 500 Cross-Border Lawyers, and in Best Lawyers in Canada (Lawyer of the Year 2025 – International Arbitration, Toronto).
