The AAMS 2021 National ADR Conference and Conflict Resolution Day (CR Day) event is catered to everyone who works, takes interest in, or would like information about Alternative Dispute Resolution across Canada. All practitioners, students, businesses, governments, employees/owners, and the public are welcome!

The symposium will have a dual focus, with the first being for practitioners who will gain valuable insight into differing provincial ADR practices, rules & regulations while still receiving the CE credits from your designatory bodies and ADRIC CEE credits, with ADRIC and our regional affiliates fully recognizing these sessions.

The second focus will be on delivering free quality training, to anyone interested, from the AAMS Conflict Resolution Day Committee and valuable insight on how to access ADR services no matter in which province you reside.

Background: Conflict Resolution Day was started in 2005 by the Association for Conflict Resolution in the United States to raise public awareness of creative and peaceful means of resolving conflict. Now communities around the world hold events to mark Conflict Resolution Day held on the third Thursday in October.

The Conflict Resolution Day Alberta Committee has led this event since 2007; it is collaboration between the Alberta Government's Dispute Resolution Network (DRN) and ADR organizations in Alberta. This committee has been providing resources and support to the public for years. With the assistance of AAMS, they are making a nation-wide event!
