The Ethics of Online Mediation
May 12, 2022
2:00 PM ET / 1:00 PM CT / 12:00 PM MT / 11:00 AM PT
This program considers how mediator ethics applies when we mediate online. The online forum brings unique considerations to ethical basics – including competency and confidentiality. The program will also present ideas for preserving party autonomy and mediating in a safe manner. This presentation will discuss tips and techniques generally across platforms, but the program will give some specific guidance for those who mediate on Zoom.
Presenter: Kristen Blankley, Professor of Law & Director, Robert J. Kutak Center for the Teaching and Study of Applied Ethics at the University of Nebraska College of Law
