This award is given annually to a an individual who has contributed significantly to the promotion and development of ADR within a region or made an outstanding contribution to the development and success of a Regional Affiliate of the ADR Institute of Canada.

Through her work on Reforming the Family Justice System (RFJS) she and her co-conveners have helped develop a solid support system for families in Alberta in which family mediation plays a central role.”

As noted in her nomination letter from the Board and members of the ADR Institute of Alberta: There can be no doubt that Justice Moen’s work in Alberta, and in particular her focus on the well-being of children and families, has significantly shaped our Provincial & Federal Family Justice policies, favouring ADR and out-of-court resolution processes.

ADRIC and ADRIA join many Federal and Provincial Justice Ministers in acknowledging Justice Moen’s significant work.

ADRIC will formally present this award to Justice Moen during the ADRIC 2018 conference in Montreal, on November 22, 2018 at 1:00 pm ET
