Dymphny Dronyk has embedded mediation tools in stakeholder and community engagement, corporate and crisis communication, and emergency preparedness services for both corporate and non-profit sectors during more than 30 years of working on controversial energy and municipal projects. She understands, and shares, her stakeholders’ love of the land and for community. Dymphny believes fearless listening and authentic storytelling are essential ingredients for respectful, effective engagement and for conflict management.
With a special interest in energy industry mediation and negotiation, Dymphny is an ADR Specialist at the Canada Energy Regulator (CER), as well as serving as a volunteer mediator/mentor on the Alberta Justice Civil Court mediation roster since 2007. She has been a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Alberta (ADRIA) since 1999.
She has held senior engagement positions in municipal development and resource industry projects throughout Western Canada as well as the United States and has extensive regulatory knowledge and experience. Dymphny has a background in journalism and publishing and is an MA Candidate in Conflict Analysis and Management (RRU). Her international communication expertise ranges from consensus-building with industry, schools, municipalities, and First Nations communities, to event facilitation, and board and policy development. She is equally comfortable in the bush, and in the boardroom.
